The grant is available to organizations that are registered charities or have a partnership with a registered charity for the purpose of this grant application. The funding can be used to seed new community initiatives or to fund the expansion of existing community projects or programs. Priority may be given to projects that include special needs groups and socially or ethnically marginalized populations.
Applications are accepted annually, with a specific intake period each year. All applications must be submitted online or orally; paper or email applications are not accepted. It's important to note that the grant does not fund organizations that discriminate by race, religion, color, creed, sex, age, national origin, or who support hate philosophies. Additionally, it does not support religious or sectarian organizations unless engaged in a significant project benefiting the entire community, not just members of the religious or sectarian group. The grant also excludes funding for individuals, debt retirement, endowment funds, projects that have already taken place, or the promotion of commercial products or purposes.
